« A woman and her phone »
Charcoal on paper, 21x29cm
This piece captures the loneliness of modern existence through the use of cubist style. I depict a lone woman, whom we can assume is reflecting on the world outside her phone as well as on herself; we feel like we are watching an intimate moment of isolation. She begins to think about the purpose of her life, and how real are the virtual connections she feels to people both near and far away from her. The phone is waiting for a text message or call… In vain.
