“Isochronic Pendulum” is a minimalist sound sculpture, created by Arnaud Quercy in 2022. The digital artwork features a wooden bowl, intricately modeled using fractals to create organic, perforated patterns. The bowl rotates continuously, while two wooden balls, suspended by thin ropes, strike the bowl’s surface at random intervals, producing a series of unpredictable, natural sounds.
The work explores the interplay of movement, sound, and randomness, offering a meditative experience through the subtlety of its design and auditory output.
