« Every work of art must be able to tell a story. Thus begins my true quest, the one whose balance is found in the triptych creation of a work, reconciling the diffraction of the mind, the resonance of desire and the narration of the imaginary. »

– Arnaud Quercy

Arnaud Quercy is a multidisciplinary artist whose work unfolds at the intersection of music, visual arts, and synesthesia. This sensorial dialogue, initiated during his musical awakening in the European classical tradition and later enriched by his discovery of jazz and figures like Charlie Parker, forms the guiding thread of his artistic approach.

His journey, marked by eight pivotal moments he calls “The Age of Restlessness,” traverses different phases: from the initial spark to formative experiences in Berlin, through a pendular life between Paris and London, culminating in the final integration of diverse artistic expressions. As a pianist and composer, he interprets Scriabin while creating his own works such as “Monadology” and “Transcendental Aestheticism.”

Synesthesia, the perception where sounds become colors and rhythms transform into visual tensions, permeates his visual creations that explore both materiality and immateriality. His triptychs on love, faith, and hope exhibited at the Koblenzer Kunstverein illustrate his quest for a total artwork, inspired by Kandinsky, Wagner, and the correspondence systems of Scriabin and Messiaen.

From music to painting, from digital art to sculpture, Arnaud Quercy pursues an exploration where rigor and freedom coexist. His work, exhibited in France and internationally, invites viewers into a sensory experience where each piece becomes a visual score, a space of vibration between structure and expression, between the visible and the invisible.

His significant works include the chamber orchestra piece “The Helper” (finalist at the Maurice Ravel International Contest), the string quartet “The Big Five” inspired by Hemingway’s short stories, and his recent immersive exhibition “Transcendence” at the Koblenzer Kunstverein. Quercy’s artistic output spans over 20 musical compositions, numerous art collections including “Research On Tensions” and “Abstract Loops,” and published writings such as “Essais Abstraits: Le défi d’un seul mot.” His work has been exhibited internationally, from Paris to Los Angeles, receiving recognition including the 2021 Blender 3D France Championship award.
